If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or like you can’t handle things on your own, it might be time to consider therapy.
Therapy is not only for people with diagnosed mental health conditions; therapy can help anyone who’s struggling with life’s challenges or simply wants to understand themselves better.
-
A therapy session is a safe space for you to talk about whatever's on your mind. You might discuss challenges, emotions, or experiences that are impacting your life.
I am there to listen, offer support, and help you explore ways to work through your concerns. Sometimes, you might do exercises or activities that help you gain insight or cope better with stress.
Depending on what brings you to therapy we may explore past hurts/trauma or current issues causing stress or concern.
-
Yes, with a few exceptions.
Therapists are required to keep your information private unless there’s a risk of harm to yourself or others, or in cases of abuse or neglect.
We will discuss these exceptions to confidentiality in our intake session and review throughout the counseling relationship. Otherwise, what you share in therapy stays in therapy.
-
The length of therapy varies depending on your goals and needs. Some people find a few sessions are enough to help them feel better, while others might continue for months or even years.
We will will work together to create a plan that fits your situation.
-
Therapy isn’t about changing who you are—it’s about helping you become the best version of yourself.
It can help you understand yourself better, build healthier habits, and learn new ways to cope with stress. You might feel different, but in a way that aligns more with who you truly want to be.
-
It’s important to feel comfortable with your counselor, so if you don’t feel like it’s a good fit, it’s always okay to discuss your concerns with me or even ask for a referral.
I know a lot of great counselors and I want you to have the best fit for you!
Therapy works best when you have a good connection with your counselor, so finding the right one is worth the effort.

Mercier Therapy FAQ’s
-
Mercier Therapy uses deep, visceral manipulation to increase mobility and improve blood flow to the ovaries and uterus.
This enhanced mobility allows these organs to function better and communicate more effectively with the pituitary gland, leading to more optimal hormone secretion.
The goal is to create the best possible environment for conception!
-
Mercier Therapy can be incredibly beneficial beyond fertility support.
It’s helpful for recovery after abdominal surgeries like laparoscopy or gallbladder removal, and can assist with repositioning organs and removing scar tissue following C-sections, hysterectomies, or other procedures.
It's also beneficial for managing conditions like incontinence, PCOS, endometriosis, or irregular periods, helping to restore normal function by improving communication with the hypothalamus.
Additionally, Mercier Therapy can support healing from trauma in the pelvic, gynecological, or abdominal areas. Whether the trauma is physical, emotional, or mental, Mercier Therapy can help the body reconnect, allowing these areas to function more effectively and restore balance.
-
Mercier Therapy isn’t suitable for everyone.
It’s not recommended if you have an IUD, as there’s a risk it could shift or migrate. If you have an Essure device, you should also avoid this therapy.
For those with endometriosis, it’s safe to use Mercier Therapy, but it’s best to skip the sessions during menstruation.
-
You’ll have six one-hour sessions, ideally spread out over six weeks. Each session follows the same manipulation and therapy routine, which is designed to be most effective based on Dr. Mercier’s research and studies.
Depending on the support you believe you need and if you complete the Shared Journey Fertility Program you may elect to do follow up treatment. Usually this is done monthly.
-
Yes, Mercier Therapy can complement assisted reproductive technologies like IUI and IVF. It’s especially helpful if you want to prepare your body before an embryo transfer or boost your chances of a natural pregnancy.
However, it’s important to note that this therapy should not be done during the stimulation phase of IVF, but it can be completed prior to the embryo transfer.
Dr. Mercier's studies show an 87.7% success rate when Mercier was used in conjunction with IVF.
-
Common side effects during treatment can include spotting, tenderness, increased discharge, tenderness/soreness, headaches and dehydration.
